How We Acquired 2011 New Qualified Leads for a Business Club with a CPL of $3.50

  • Industry:

    Business community

  • Duration:

    1 month

  • Country:

    Ukraine

  • Service:

    Meta Ads

Challenges:

With a historical CPL benchmark of $7+, we identified the need for a fundamental strategy pivot to drive down acquisition costs and improve efficiency;

Our primary goal was to scale the volume of qualified leads specifically, ensuring that growth did not compromise the quality of the business community members;

Our goal was also to achieve high-quality scaling in international markets first; once proven successful, we aimed to leverage those results to relaunch and scale operations within Ukraine;

Mission-Centric Messaging – to translate the club’s values and unique atmosphere into a digital strategy that attracts like-minded business leaders.

What we did with Meta Ads:

Attribution Setup and “Registration” Goal Optimization

  • Attribution Window Selection: We implemented a standard 7-day click / 1-day view window. This allowed the system to optimize for users who make quick decisions—a critical factor for time-sensitive business events;
  • Standard Events Tracking: We moved beyond simple page views by configuring precise tracking for the final conversion action: Complete Registration. This enabled the algorithm to identify and target users with high-intent behavior patterns;

Multi-Segment Campaign Launch & Optimization

  • Campaign Structure: We utilized a mix of CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) and ABO (Ad Set Budget Optimization) to rigorously compare the performance of different audience segments and allocate budget to the highest-performing sets;
  • Offer Testing: We launched multiple value propositions—comparing “Free Knowledge” vs. “Networking” vs. “Exclusive Content”—to identify the primary trigger that drives the highest conversion rate;

  • Frequency Control: We closely monitored ad frequency to prevent audience fatigue (burnout) during the early stages of the international rollout;

Creative Production & Multi-Format Testing (15+ Assets)

We developed a diverse library of over 15 creative assets, including high-energy video, interactive carousels, static imagery, and UGC. This variety allowed Meta’s delivery system to automatically serve the most effective content format to each individual user based on their consumption habits;

Targeting Strategy & Multi-Layered Segmentation

  • Retargeting: Engaging users who had previously interacted with our content to push them toward registration;
  • Look-alike Audiences: Leveraging existing member data to find high-potential leads with similar profiles.
  • Geographic Expansion: Scaling operations across Poland, Ukraine, and specifically the Kyiv region, effectively tailoring campaigns to local market nuances.
